Learn something new everyday

When I was very young I felt ashamed of who I was. I wanted to be like everyone else. Being in special education was embarrassing but looking back - I would not have been able to do school any other way. BECAUSE of "special education" I was introduced to the College Experience Program.

Now I can embrace myself. I have great family and friends and an amazing support system. It is BECAUSE of my "differences" I get the (extra) "help" I need. And when was getting some help ever a bad thing?

I learn something new everyday!
